DVA Cardholders
If you are a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) card holder, one of our TMS Clinicians will guide you through the relevant eligibility pathway during your screening call.
- If you have not previously received TMS, DVA will cover treatment under the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) criteria. Patients who meet these criteria can access up to 35 sessions for an acute course of TMS, followed by up to 15 maintenance sessions available four months after the acute course.
- Under the new DVA scheme, eligible patients may then access up to 100 TMS sessions per year, with up to 300 sessions available across a lifetime.
- If these sessions have been used, or if you do not meet the standard Medicare criteria, DVA may still consider covering treatment through a separate approval process. Our clinicians can help determine whether you may be eligible and assist with the application if applicable.
ADF Members
For ADF members, approval for the TMS treatment is processed by the patient and the ADF medical team. Please ask your referring doctor to help you organise this when getting your TMS referral.
