Do you need accreditation in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) or want to apply TMS in your clinic or research?
Ongoing professional development training is an important part of Modalis’ organisational culture. We greatly value our partnerships with Perron Institute, University of Western Australia, a range of individual clinicians and other TMS services in WA.
Together with Perron Institute we have jointly developed the WA TMS Training Program which represents the broad views and experiences of psychiatrists working in this area, along with neuroscientists, nursing staff and support staff involved in providing this treatment.
WA TMS Training Program – RANZCP-Accredited
The course is run as two microcredentials through the University of Western Australia, and aims to teach the theory and practice of rTMS to health professionals and researchers who wish to apply TMS in their clinics and/or research.
The microcredentials can be taken as stand alone courses, however in order for you to become fully accredited in TMS, both courses must be registered for and completed independently.
From 1 May 2022, psychiatrists are required by RANZCP to complete a rTMS training course. To complete the RANZCP endorsed course, psychiatrists must complete both microcredentials and 10 hours of supervised practice.
This course has been endorsed by the RANZCP as CPD activity code: ED000061, and each hour of participation can be claimed under Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 4.1).
